About the role
We are looking for experienced Lifestyle Assistants to join our lifestyle team, in providing our residents innovative and fun activities at our St Helena location. In this casual position you will assist the Diversional Therapist with the implementation and evaluation of activity therapy programs, (including both group and one-on-one activities) and the development of innovative approaches to meeting the individual needs of the residents. Candidates will need experience working with people living with Dementia.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential:
- Certificate III/IV in Lifestyle
- Certificate III (or above) in Aged Care, Ageing Support
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent flexibility, ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Previous experience in an aged care environment is essential
- Strong computer skills essential
- Demonstrate good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Good understanding of the Quality standards
- Experience with programs for people living with Dementia
- Able and willing to drive a small 12-seater bus
- Current National Police Check
- Covid 19 vaccination certificate including the booster shot
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
