About the role
The Resident Wellbeing and Village Site Supervisor is responsible for the effective day-to-day operations of our beautiful and historic Rushall Park village based in North Fitzroy, the world’s oldest continuously operating retirement village. This unique setting combines heritage architecture, tree-lined streets and a close-knit community atmosphere, right in the heart of Melbourne’s inner north.
This is a role with dual focus. Ensuring the smooth, professional management of village life, while also driving innovative resident wellbeing initiatives. You will lead staff rostering and management, resident support, stakeholder communication, and ensure high standards of service and compliance within budget. Just as importantly, you will provide emotional and social support to residents when they need it, and create engaging, inclusive programs that enrich daily life and nurture community connections.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Village, Home Care or Aged Care Supervisor or Manager with a passion for supporting older Victorians holistically — or for a social worker, pastoral or spiritual care coordinator, chaplain, or community leader who wants to step into operational leadership in a senior living environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of exciting, innovative and inclusive resident wellbeing programs and initiatives.
- Mentor, develop, and inspire staff to achieve excellence.
- Drive service quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee rosters, workforce planning, and resource allocation to meet resident needs within operational budget.
- Manage incidents and reporting processes in line with policy and legislative requirements.
- Support resident transitions, and drive business development initiatives.
- Lead and contribute to key projects that enhance the resident experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience with Aged Care or Retirement Living.
- Qualifications in resident welfare, social work, psychology, chaplaincy, or pastoral care are highly desirable.
- Relevant industry qualifications.
