About the role

The Resident Wellbeing Manager is responsible for designing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating wellness programs that promote a holistic approach to care and support for residents, families, and staff. This includes addressing the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of individuals, key elements that contribute to overall quality of life. The role works collaboratively with residents, their families or representatives, the care team, and relevant external stakeholders to ensure programs are person-centred, inclusive, and aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards. Through a focus on engagement, empowerment, and meaningful experiences, this position plays a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and life satisfaction of residents across both residential aged care and retirement village settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • A variety of wellness services are tailored to the interests and abilities of residents, families and staff and delivered within budget.
  • Assessing, planning and supporting the delivery of residents' wellbeing and spiritual needs building on their strengths, capacity and goals, in collaboration with the care team and the residents' families/representatives (as required).
  • Work with residents, in collaboration with the care team to make gains in residents physical, social and emotional wellbeing to live as independently as possible
  • Lead the design and planning of wellbeing and lifestyle programs that enhance the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing of residents across retirement villages. Provide guidance and frameworks to support Village Supervisors in local implementation.
  • Collaborate with Village Supervisors to build capability in delivering resident-focused wellness initiatives, offering resources, training, and advice to ensure consistent and effective program delivery.
  • Evaluate the impact of wellness programs through resident feedback, participation data, and quality outcomes. Provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve resident wellbeing initiatives across all sites

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Social Work, Spiritual Care, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a similar role within aged care or a related field.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful lifestyle and wellbeing programs.
  • Ability to contribute strategically within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong understanding of holistic care principles addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
  • Strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple initiatives across sites.
  • Experience in evaluating programs, interpreting feedback and data, and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Diploma of Chaplaincy or Diploma of Pastoral Care (desirable)
  • Experience in team leadership and staff supervision
