About the role
The major duties of this role include providing cleaning services that contribute to a safe, clean, and home-like environment for residents and staff. The role is also responsible for delivering laundry services in accordance with infection control and best-practice laundry standards.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Washing of furnishings, floors and equipment
- Cleaning, dusting windows, sills blinds and furniture
- Vacuuming carpet and floors
- Steam cleaning of carpet
- Emptying ashtrays and containers
- Cleaning and scouring sinks, bathtubs and toilets
- Washing walls, windows and vents in doors
- Replenishing supplies of towels, toilet paper, soap and other amenities.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential:
- Ability to work without supervision and undertake task independently
- Cleaning practices
- Customer Service
- Manual handling & chemical handling
- Stock control and ordering
- Understanding of policy and procedures
- Problem solving and decision making
- Ability to operate electrical equipment, such as polishers and vacuum
cleaners and steam carpet cleaners
- Basic literacy and numeracy
Desirable:
- Experience as a Cleaner/Village Support worker - Preferably in Aged care
