Clinical Manager – Residential Aged Care & Home Care (Full-time, Ongoing)

Location: Liscombe House (St Helena, VIC) + support across our Home Care and Retirement Living services

We are looking for an experienced, values-led Clinical Manager to lead best practice nursing and care in our residential aged care home and provide clinical guidance and oversight to our Home Care team.

The opportunity

As our Clinical Manager, you will lead the clinical care model in residential aged care, drive compliance and quality, and uplift capability across clinical teams. You will work closely with the General Manager Residential Aged Care and step into operational leadership when required. You will also provide clinical guidance to our Home Care operations team and support clinical governance activity across retirement living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead contemporary, compliant clinical practice and resident outcomes in residential aged care
  • Drive care planning, clinical governance, audits, incident trend analysis and continuous improvement
  • Build and mentor high-performing clinical teams (performance, skills uplift, annual training calendar)
  • Partner with GPs, allied health and external stakeholders to strengthen resident care pathways
  • Support Home Care with clinical guidance, care planning advice, quality improvement and incident review
  • Contribute to organisational clinical strategy across residential, home care and retirement living

What you will bring (must-have)

We are only considering candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Proven senior clinical leadership experience in a residential aged care facility (required)
  • Proven experience providing clinical guidance/support to a Home Care program (required) 
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong knowledge of aged care regulatory requirements, accreditation/quality standards and best practice
  • A calm, confident leadership style with excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • A genuine commitment to person-centred care and improving quality of life
  • Strong computer literacy and confidence adopting/using clinical and reporting systems.
  • Commitment to privacy, confidentiality and respectful, person-centred care.

Desirable

  • Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead qualification (or willingness to attain).
  • Post-registration qualifications in gerontology/advanced aged care nursing (or similar).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory Police Check, required vaccinations (including COVID), maintaining right to work in Australia, and maintaining AHPRA registration.
