Specializing in Home Care, Residential Care, and Retirement Villages, we offer a continuum of care ranging from independent living to assisted living and aged care throughout Victoria. Our portfolio includes four villages strategically located across Victoria – St. Helena, Fitzroy North, Berwick, and Euroa – collectively providing a nurturing home to 500 older Victorians in need. Unlike many other home care providers, our current focus is on delivering exceptional home care services exclusively to residents within our own retirement villages. This unique approach eliminates the need for travel for our home care team. Instead, they are able to dedicate their efforts entirely to the well-being and comfort of our residents within the familiar surroundings of our villages. As we continue to expand our services and reach, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to join our team as the Operations Manager -Home Care Services. 

Your new role

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our team of Case Managers and Home Care Support workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to our consumers. You will oversee all aspects of operations, including client assessments, care planning, staffing, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong operational knowledge and experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be responsible for budget management, compliance, accreditation, clinical guidance, coaching and mentoring to staff members, ensuring high quality high-quality, person-centered care to our elderly consumers within their homes. This includes program establishment and promotion, staff recruitment and management, program intake, client liaison, budget management, service quality and compliance, leading and facilitating the implementation of policies and practices and continuous improvement. This position will report directly to the Head of Operations, playing a crucial role in the overall success and growth of our Home Care Services function.

About You

You will ideally bring the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in the Health and Human Services sector, with direct relation to Home Care Packages. 
  • Experience/Qualifications in management, and/or quality highly desirable. 
  • Demonstrated ability in communicating with residents and their families. 
  • Able to provide a strategic focus to the planning and delivery of services. 
  • Strong change management, team building and interpersonal skills. 
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, sound decision making and effective conflict resolution. 
  • Sound analysis and reporting and computer skills. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current AHPRA registration is desirable

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Provide leadership and effectively manage the provision of high quality, compliant and person centered services 
  • Manage and drive our growing Support at Home program
  • Develop and implement operational strategy and ensure that the programs operate within agreed resource frameworks and financial targets
  • Ensure client assessments are conducted as required and ensure consultation with clients and/or their carers in the development of individual goals to maintain or improve independence
